How Fiber Optic Cable is made

Have you ever wondered how fiber optic cable is made? Basically it’s made of extremely pure glass, just a little thicker than human hair. Using fibers instead of metal wire allows for much faster speeds and longer distances. Data travels roughly two thirds the speed of light through the glass cable.
