Why are headphone jacks disappearing? 

If you haven’t noticed, the headphone jack is slowly disapearing on new smartphones.

The 3.5mm headphone jack (or the TRS jack) has been around since the 1950’s. Since then it hasn’t really changed, and that’s because it’s a simple solution that works great. The reason cellphone companies are dropping this plug from their new phones is because of the push towards a wireless future. These companies still offer adapter that can convert your lightning cable or type connection into 3.5mm connection.
